In 1999, Jody Midgley got tired of working for others and decided to venture out on his own. When he started Dial-A-Delivery in Simcoe, Ontario, Canada, he had no name, no advertising, no gimmicks, no stickers, no magnets for quite some time. Inside of 3 months he registered the name Dial-A-Delivery and still had zero advertising in any form other then word of mouth. 3 years later, he would have stickers, magnets, car detailing, ads in newspapers and more!
His very first day that he went out to try this business, he made $88.00. It simply grew from there. He started delivering for Pharmacies, Pizza places and more. Soon, he had the idea that many senoirs could not get around easy and found a way to do the grocery shopping for them. He came up with a little jingle: "You Blab it, We Grab it". But he choose, "One Call, That's All!" and "Fast Food, Groceries, Flowers and More, Friendly Delivery to Your Door". It stuck and Dial-A-Delivery did too!
In 2004, Jody wanted to go back to his hometown of Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada and Harry Bretschnieder from Simcoe, Ontario took over that little town! When Jody went to Niagara Falls, he did 3 days of "flash-footwork" and on his first official day in the Falls, he managed $133.00! Well, things have kept growing for Mr Midgley!
